For more than two decades, I have worked with communities, civil society organizations, governments, donors, and international NGOs to understand complex humanitarian and development challenges, shape programme strategies, design implementation approaches, build partnerships, mobilize resources, and strengthen the organizations that create lasting change.
My work has always been driven by one belief: sustainable impact begins with strong organizations, thoughtful strategy, locally grounded solutions, and the ability to turn commitment into effective action.
Today, I bring that experience to nonprofits and mission-driven organizations through strategic advisory, programme design, partnership development, institutional strengthening, and funding strategy.
My career began in humanitarian response and has since spanned programme design, partnership development, institutional strengthening, and senior leadership roles with Oxfam, Action Against Hunger, and Humanity & Inclusion across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia — including as Head of Programme and Deputy Country Director, overseeing multi-sector portfolios of up to $15M annually.
Across that journey, one lesson repeated itself: even the strongest programmes struggle to grow without the strategic capacity to translate their work into a credible, fundable case. That is what led me to develop deep expertise in donor engagement, proposal development, and funding strategy — not as a separate career, but as a natural extension of the leadership work I have always done.
Today, I bring that full range of experience to nonprofits and mission-driven organizations as an independent advisor — helping them strengthen not only their funding, but their broader strategic and institutional capacity.
Read My Full StoryDevelopment is not simply a profession — it is a long-term commitment to the people and communities it serves. In more than two decades of humanitarian and international development work, I've learned that funding alone does not create lasting change. Sustainable impact depends on strong local organizations, clear strategy, genuine partnerships, credible evidence, and real community ownership.
My consulting practice is built on these principles. I work with organizations to strengthen the full picture — not just the proposal that unlocks the next grant, but the strategic and institutional capacity that sustains an organization long after that grant is spent.
Across two decades in humanitarian and international development, I have contributed to programme design, donor engagement, partnership development, and proposal processes associated with institutional and bilateral funding from:
“I had the opportunity to work with Mobeen on a project focused on establishing Cooling Centers in Rural Sindh. Her contribution was highly professional, well-structured, and deeply aligned with the needs of the communities we serve. She demonstrated strong expertise in project design, stakeholder coordination, and contextual understanding of humanitarian interventions. Her ability to translate complex field realities into a clear and actionable project framework was particularly impressive. I would highly recommend her for any roles related to proposal development, grants writing, grant mapping, business planning and development, and strategic project design.”
